Frequently Asked Questions

Use the contact form below or email me directly at if you have any questions!

  • I want to commission a portrait; how do I do that?

Just head over to the Commissions Page! You’ll need to decide on a type (Classic, Fancy, or Custom), gather at least three (3) reference images, send me an email telling me what you want and I’ll shoot you a quote. It’s just that easy!

  • How much does it cost?

This really depends on how big your portrait is, how many subjects and how detailed you want the subjects to be. Check out the Commissions Page to find out more.

  • What size/type images should I send?

Large images are ideal, but I can work with tiny-potato images if that’s all that you have available. Look at the images in the Portrait Gallery page to get an idea of what images I need from you.

  • What quality of pictures should I send?

As high quality as possible. I know that sometimes this isn’t possible and that’s okay, but higher quality details leave less up to my imagination and help me produce a portrait that’s more true to life.

  • Do you only do digital portraits?

Yes, all portraits ordered through the Portrait Lab are digital. When you order a portrait you’ll receive a high definition print file (TIF), high definition PNG file, high definition JPG file and a print release.

  • How long does it take to finish a portrait?

Anywhere from 1 to 2 weeks from the time work on the portrait begins. Some portraits are done in a single day, some take up to a month. If you need a portrait for a special occasion or by a specific date, please let me know in your email!

  • What payment methods do you accept?

Paypal, all major credit cards and bank transfers.

  • When do I have to pay?

A 50% deposit is due on start, with 50% due on acceptance of the finished work. Once full payment is made you’ll receive your high definition print file (TIF), high definition PNG file, high definition JPG file and a print release. I can also create a custom payment arrangement to keep things manageable, too.

  • What if I don't want my portrait on your website?

I can do that, for a small fee. If you don’t want me to display your portrait on my website or Instagram, please let me know when ordering!

  • How many portraits can I print?

You maintain the copyright on your resource photos, but I hold the copyright and reproduction rights to the artwork. The print release allows you to print as many private copies for private use, but if you want to use this work commercially please let me know ahead of time so we can discuss licensing, thanks!

  • Can you print my portrait for me?

I prefer for clients to patronize their favorite/local printer and framer, but if you’re in a jam and don’t know where to get a good print I either make a recommendation or print it at cost through my favorite printer. Please note that printing services are separate and not included in the cost of your portrait.

  • Do you offer framing services?

No, I did this in the past with the World of Null art prints, and we had too many items arrive at their destination broken. Since most portraits offered are standard size (11x17”, 12x18”, 18x24”, etc.) it should be fairly easy to get a frame either at your local big box or framer.

  • Who are you?

I'm Sara, and I paint things. I've bounced around the internet for years, I'm mostly known for my cyberpunk universe "The World of Null" and portraiture. You can check out the about page to find out more.
